With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Vernon (Vern) Louis Boudreaux, who passed away suddenly at his home on April 10, 2025, at the age of 67. Vernon was born on January 24, 1958, in Lake Charles, Louisiana, where he spent his entire life.
Vernon worked as a lead carpenter, working with the aircraft industry at Chennault International Airport, and he was known for his incredible craftsmanship and dedication to his work. Outside of his career, Vernon had a passion for the outdoors and loved to ride his Harley Davidson motorcycle, which was always impeccably clean, embracing the freedom of the open road.
He is survived by his mother, Ester Boudreaux, brother, Boud Boudreaux (Julie), sister, Connie Kennedy (Bobby), fiance' of 23 years, Kathy Theunissen Broussard and her family, Jared Broussard (Shelby and their children, Bentley and Addisyn), Tiffany Broussard (Bonus Mom of Karsyn LaBauve), along with numerous nieces and nephews, who will carry on his spirit and cherish the memories made together.
He was preceded in death by his father, Stanley Larry Boudreaux.
Visitation for family and friends will be at Johnson Funeral Home on Tuesday, April 15, 2025, from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM. It will continue Wednesday, April 16, 2025, from 10:00 AM until the funeral service at 2:00 PM. Burial will follow the funeral at Calvary Cemetery in Jennings. Serving as pallbearers will be members of the Lake Charles Harley Owners Group.
