With a heavy heart, we announce the passing of our beloved sister, Vickey “Vic” Lee Hudson, 70, of Sigourney, Iowa. Burial will be at the North English Cemetery on Sunday, July 20, 2025 at 3:00pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Hudson Family.
Vic was born on April 17, 1955, in Iowa City at S.U.I. General Hospital to Thomas and Johnette Hudson. Vic spent her childhood in a close-knit family taking care of her younger siblings. Vic attended school in Washington, Glenwood, and Albia. She then moved to Sigourney to be closer to family and friends, who she loved to be around. Vic loved listening to music and singing songs such as “Take Me Out to The Ballgame.” Vic enjoyed going on outings with Deb Decker, attending county fairs, and had a love for animals. You would often see her with either a pop or a cigarette in her hand. She enjoyed going pop can hunting.
Vic was preceded in death by her parents Thomas and Johnette Hudson, sisters Nancy Hudson and Cindy White, many aunts and uncles, grandparents and a great niece.
She is survived by her siblings, Delbert Hudson, Rick (Coletta) Hudson, Rebecca Hudson, Thomas Hudson, Terry Hudson, Kelly (Thomas Foster) Hudson, John (Christie) Hudson, Bruce (Andrea) Hudson and Matthew Hudson, brother-in-law Don White, many nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, and a cat, Miley.
