Vicki Marlette Obituary
Vicki Lynn Marlette, also known as Vicki, humbly departed from this earthly realm following a long and courageous 15 month battle with Small Cell Lung Cancer on January 12, 2024, at the age of 62 in Elmira, New York.
Born on July 23, 1962, in New York, Vicki was a testament to the virtues of humility, gratitude, and respect for all of creation.
She proudly attended Horseheads High School where she played softball. In her journey of life, Vicki selflessly dedicated four years to the United States Marine Corps from 1981 to 1985. Her unwavering commitment to duty and her profound understanding of military lingo were a testament to her noble character and deep sense of service.
Following her military service, Vicki embarked on a sacred path as a Registered Nurse in Lancaster and Quartz Hill, California and graduated with her degree in 1995. With reverence for life, she embraced her calling with unwavering devotion, providing compassionate care to those in need. Vicki's healing touch and tender heart made her a beacon of light in the lives of countless patients and their families.
Beyond her professional endeavors, Vicki's spirit radiated with love and compassion for all. She leaves behind a cherished legacy of kindness and devotion.
She is survived by her two children, four grandchildren, six nieces and nephews, two siblings, her mother and her beloved dog Jazzy.
Vicki's deep love and unwavering commitment to her family were a testament to her faith and the values she held dear.
As we gather to honor Vicki's memory, let us reflect upon the lessons she taught us. May her life inspire us to embrace humility, express gratitude, and treat all of creation with reverence and respect. In this time of mourning, let us find solace in the knowledge that Vicki's spirit lives on, shining brightly in the hearts of those who were blessed to know her.
With bowed heads and grateful hearts, we pay tribute to Vicki Lynn Marlette, a soul who embodied the essence of humility, gratitude, and reverence for all of creation. May her soul find eternal peace and may her memory forever guide us on the path of love and compassion.
