Vickie Arline Carrell was born November 9, 1950 in Long Island, New York to James Arlin Vance and Bonnie (Bottroff) Vance. She passed away Sunday, July 25, 2021 at the age of 70.
Vickie was a resident of Braggs, Oklahoma and was called to teach and preach on October 18, 1984. On December 5, 1992 she married James Carrell; he later preceded her in death in 2007. Vickie enjoyed reading and yard work. She especially loved reading her bible and loved to hear her husband, James, sing. She was loved by many and will be dearly missed.
Also preceding her in death were her parents and two brothers, Roger "Peanut" Vance and Kenny Vance.
Survivors include her son, Curtis Dewayne Ferrell of Little Rock, Arkansas; five daughters, Angela Christine Dodds of Broken Bow, Elizabeth "Lisa" Leader and husband Tony of Braggs, Oklahoma, Victoria Michelle "Shelly" Clark and husband Brandon of Porum, Stephanie Carole Friend of Hayworth and Jessica Bachmire and husband Devon of Tulsa; one brother, James Calvert Vance of Okemah; 18 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and 8 step-children and a host of step-grandchildren and greats.
Serving as active pallbearers will be Calvin Friend, Robert Dodds, Dakota Dodds, Brandon Clark, Tony Leader, Shawn Dodds and Michael Peay.
Services will be under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Home.
