Vickie Lynn Wigington Goodroe, 68, of Macon, Georgia, passed away peacefully on September 8, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. Born on March 19, 1957, in Louisville, Kentucky, Vickie was known for her generous heart, unwavering dedication to others, and the power of persuasion that could light up a room.

Vickie was a devoted volunteer for Kids Yule Love, a cause close to her heart. She found joy in giving to others and was always ready to lend a helping hand. Whether knitting, crocheting, or spending cherished time with her grandchildren, Vickie's love and warmth left a lasting impression on everyone she met.

She was preceded in death by her father, Richard Thomas Wigington. She is survived by her beloved husband of 37 years, Sidney "Sid" Goodroe, and her daughters: Roxie (Eric) Marshall, Thomasena (Bill) Collins, Tiffanie (Allen) Parker, Heather (David) Wright, Lindsey (Micka) Litt, and Arianna Marie.

She is also survived by her mother, Patsy Ruth Wigington; her brothers, Ricky (Rebecca) Wigington and Randy (Belinda) Wigington; her treasured grandchildren: Sydnee, James, Isabelle, Maci, Randall, Dallas, Brandon, Lexi, Jaden, Meadow, Ryder, and Taylor; ten great-grandchildren; and three nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life Gathering will be held on Friday, September 12, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. at Fairhaven Funeral Home and Cremation Services. Vickie's cousin, Rev. Jeff Westerfield will officiate. Guests are invited to share their favorite memories and stories of Vickie during the service.
