Vickie Hoover

Vickie Hoover, 74, of Youngstown, OH, formerly of Bedford, died on Thursday, July 31, 2025 at her residence. She was born on May 20. 1951 in Bedford, PA a daughter of the late Warden K., Jr. and Anna Louise "Betty" (Way) Hoover. She is survived by a brother William Hoover wife Kathy of Bedford, and a sister Debbie Drobenak of Aspers; six nieces and nephews Melissa Miller and husband Galen, Lisa Leydig and husband David, Jennifer Hoover and husband Brian, Brandon Drobenak and wife Valerie, Matthew Drobenak and wife Nikki, and Emily Leedy and husband Matt; and nine great nieces and nephews: Clara, Nora, Dylan, Loralei, Jacob, Olivia, Joanna, Lucas, and Michael.

Vickie graduated from Bedford High School Class of 1969 and Indiana University of Pennsylvania. Upon graduation she worked as a Medical Technologist at Northside Hospital in Youngstown, Ohio till it closed in 2018. She was then transferred to Trumbull Memorial Hospital in Warren, Ohio and retired from there in 2023. She was also a certified massage therapist.

She enjoyed dancing, listening to music, playing cards, taking walks in nature, reading, and loved spending time with her family and friends. Vickie will be remembered for her laugh, gentleness, kindness, and compassion for others. She attended the Unity Spiritual Centre Girard. A memorial service will be held on Friday, August 15, 2025 at 11:00 a.m., in the Chapel at the Timothy A. Berkebile Funeral Home in Bedford with Jim Miller officiating. Burial at Bedford County Memorial Park. Friends will be received on Friday, one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
