Vickie Gail Stokes, age 50 of Kings Mountain, NC, passed away Friday, November 10, 2023.
She is survived by her fiancé, Hershel “Chip” Davis of the home, her children, Joshua Childers, Bralyn Presnell (Hunter) of Charlotte, NC, Travis Stokes (Alley Green) of Maiden, NC, and Lily Stokes of Harrisburg, NC, a grandson, Mikaiah Stokes, eight siblings, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Born March 23, 1973, in Cleveland County, NC, Vickie was the daughter of the late Donnie Wray and Becky Beard and was preceded in death by one sibling. Vickie was a loving mother, grandmother, care giver, sister, and friend. She enjoyed working in the garden and spending time with her family and friends. Vickie loved her eight canine companions. Vickie was always smiling and happy. She would always bring a smile to your face just being around her. She will be dearly missed by all that knew her.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, November 17, 2023 at Cleveland Funeral Services conducted by Rev. Matthew Davis. The Visitation will be held from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM prior to the service at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Beulah Stoney Point Community Church, 1534 Stoney Point Road, Shelby NC 28150.
