Vicky Kay Cosner, of Fountainhead, Keyser, WV, passed away on Friday, March 21, 2025, at the Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown, WV, at the age of 69.
She was born on June 17, 1955, in Keyser, WV, to Anna Virginia (Parish) Stewart of Keyser and the late Phil Altobello. She also was preceded in death by her stepfather James "Paz" DeMasi; a sister, Cheri Kane and an "adopted" granddaughter, Megan Davis.
In addition to her mother, Vicky will be deeply missed by her beloved husband of 51 years, Arlie E. "Ed" Cosner III; her daughter Mindy L. Hartman and husband Devon of Burlington, WV; two grandchildren, Austin L. Hartman of Burlington and Emily K. Garcia and husband Fernando of Green Spring, WV; a great granddaughter, Paisley S. Garcia; two nieces, Misty Benedict and husband Ben and their daughter, Charley and Lindsey Byram and husband Allen and special friends, Jamie and Donna Barbe, Joyce Ann Paugh and Tonya Robertson.
Vicky's journey in life was marked by various milestones and achievements. She graduated from Keyser High School in 1973 and was a devoted member of the First Baptist Church in Burlington, WV. Vicky's dedication to her family and community was unwavering, and she leaves behind a legacy of love and kindness.
One of the qualities that defined Vicky was her passion for horseback riding, which brought her immense joy throughout her life. Her love for animals, particularly her dogs, was evident in the way she cared for them. Vicky also had a zest for life, enjoying activities such as hunting, fishing, motorcycle riding, camping, and various water sports.
Family and friends are invited to pay their respects at the Smith Funeral Home, Keyser Chapel, on Saturday, March 29, 2025, from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. A funeral service will take place immediately following the visitation at 2:00 p.m., with Pastor Thomas Caldwell, Jr. officiating.
Interment will be in the Potomac Memorial Gardens in Keyser.
