Mrs. Hunter passed away peacefully on February 18, 2026, just one day short of her 69th birthday. Born on February 19, 1957 to Ludene and Myrline Bishop, Vicky lived a life that was marked by her unwavering love for her family, her generous spirit, and her exceptional knack for unearthing treasures in unexpected places.
Vicky's passion for thrift was well-known; she had an adventurous spirit when it came to seeking out yard sales, flea markets, and thrift stores. Her eye for value and her joy in finding the best deals were unmatched. These outings were more than a hobby-they reflected her philosophy of cherishing the simple things in life and finding beauty in the world around her.
Beyond her thrifty pursuits, Vicky's boundless generosity was the cornerstone of her existence. Her home was an open heart to the array of visitors who crossed the threshold-family, friends, and even acquaintances felt the warmth of her hospitality. Her kitchen was a haven of comfort, where she crafted delicious meals in anticipation of company, ensuring no one ever left her home hungry.
Family was the epicenter of Vicky's world. The love she harbored for her relatives was profound and evident in every action she took. Her relationship with her daughter, a partnership filled with laughter and mutual respect, was one of her life's brightest joys, with mother and daughter working side by side over the years, creating countless cherished memories.
Mrs. Vicky Hunter lived her life with her heart on her sleeve, selflessly dedicating her time and energy to the welfare of those she loved. The legacy she leaves behind is one of love, kindness, and the ceaseless reminder that the most valuable things in life aren't items we own but the relationships we nurture and hold dear. As her family and community remember her life, they celebrate not just the years she lived but the countless ways she enriched the lives of those she encountered.
Vicky will be deeply missed, but her spirit will live on through the cherished memories, lasting impact, and the indelible mark she left on Alexander City. Her departure is felt not as a loss but as a treasured reminder to live fully, love deeply, and always make room at the table for one more.
