Victor Antonio Jones, lovingly known as 'Video', passed away peacefully at Loyola Hospital on July 12,2025.
Survived by his wife, Glenda Jones; daughter, Jasmine Jones; son, Steven Jones, and Victor Jones Jr. sisters, Diane (Troy) Lewis, Dorothy Kirkwood, Casi Lane, Nicole Russell; father-in-law, Casano Sr. and sister-in-law, Raquel Montesa. Numerous, nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends also survive.
Preceded in death by his daughter, Jea Marie M. Jones (August 18, 2024); son, Marcus Jones; mother, Dorothy Sanders; father, Sylvester Jones; sister, Deborah Jones, brother-in-law, Lito Montesa and his mother-in-law, Maria Montesa.
Victor was a loving husband, father & brother who lives with a principle of strength & good health. In his early years, Victor served in the United States Army where he was stationed in Germany and deployed in Iraq. Once he finished his tour of duty, he decided to start a new career & was honorably discharged from the military. Victor worked at Northwestern Hospital where he met his beautiful wife, Glenda. Together they had two beautiful children, Jasmine Victoria Maria & Jea Marie. Victor always worked hard and provided so much for his family, giving every piece of his heart and soul to make a better environment for them. Victor will always be remembered as a father who strived to teach strength and independence. He lost his life to cancer, but he is in Heaven now where there is no pain or suffering.
We know Jea Marie was waiting for you at the Gates with open arms. We hope you both are having the time of your lives and catching up. We will miss you so much dad, we will always love you.
Funeral services for Victor will be held at Farkas Funeral Home, 3201 W. Jefferson Street, Joliet, IL 60431 on Thursday, July 17, 2025, at 11:00 am. Visitation will be held from 10:00 am until time of services. Interment to follow at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, Joliet, IL.
