Victor Peres Murillo, a beloved patriarch and cherished friend, left this world on October 30, 2024, at the age of 62. Born on October 29, 1962, in Zacatecas, Mexico, Victor's life was one filled with love, laughter, an enduring connection to nature. He passed away in Houston, Texas, surrounded by the memories he created with his family and friends.
Known for his steadfast love for fishing, Victor spent countless hours by the water, sharing his passion with those he loved. An enthusiastic gardener, he found solace in nature, transforming his yard into a sanctuary where beauty flourished under his careful hands.
He was a wonderful grandfather, generously imparting wisdom and joy to his grandchildren, fostering lasting memories that will forever be cherished. Victor is survived by his loving mother, Paula Peres Cabrera, and a devoted circle of family that includes his children: James and Heather Meaux; Benjamin and Samantha Murillo; Amy and Oscar Lopez; Christopher and Alma Meaux; Paula and Timothy Norris, Jr.; Adam and Hanna Meaux; Jesse Murillo and Nancy Pham; Mercedes Murillo and Ravi Koosyial; Nicholas and Kylie Murillo. The legacy that Victor leaves behind is further enriched by his grandchildren: Rylan Meaux; Torin Meaux; Jasmine Buffington; Priscila Lopez; Ethan Lopez; Angel Meaux; Emmanuel Meaux; Isaiah Meaux; Alezzae Meaux; Jeremias Meaux; Gabriella Meaux; Christopher Meaux; Alessandra Meaux; Charisma Meaux; Antonia Green; Jeremiah Gonzalez; Gianna Meaux; Catalina Guerrero; Levi Murillo; Audrieana Murillo. He will be forever missed by his siblings Ruperto Murillo; Jorge Murillo; Leticia Murillo; Beatris Murillo; Maria Dolores Murillo; Jaime Murillo; Irma Murillo; Yolanda Murillo; Susana Murillo; Jose Luis Murillo; Ubaldo Murillo; and Veronica Murillo, along with several nieces and nephews. Their lives are a testament to the love and guidance he so willingly shared.
He is preceded in death by his father, Victor Murillo Salas, with whom he shared a name and an indelible bond.
Though his passing leaves a void that can never be filled, the memories of Victor's warm smile, gentle spirit, and profound wisdom will live on in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing him. A visitation will be held on November 6, 2024, at Melancon Levingston Funeral Home, 1605 Avenue H, Nederland, Texas from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM, followed by a rosary from 2:00 PM to 2:30 PM, and a memorial gathering beginning at 2:30 PM.
Victor's life was a beautiful tapestry woven from love, family, and nature, and he will be profoundly missed by all whose lives he touched. May he rest in peace.
