Our beloved wife and mother, Victoria (Vickie) Rush Elling (age 76), passed away peacefully, surrounded by family, on January 5, 2025. She was the heart of our home and family and will be dearly missed.
Vickie spent her career working as a gift buyer for several Hallmark Stores. It is there that she met her husband of 17 years. She also enjoyed her bowling league, reading, traveling, watching Hallmark Christmas movies, working in her large yard and garden with Wayne, playing backgammon & penny poker, long talks with her kids and spending time with family and friends. She was always there when her kids needed her the most. She adored her grandchildren and loved hosting sleepovers, play dates and watching their sporting and dance activities.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Melvin & Mavis Rush.
She is survived by her husband, Wayne; daughter, Lisa (Eric) Toll; son, Tony (Stacey) Bukovich; stepson, Dan Elling; and stepdaughter, Lori Elling; grandchildren Mark, Katelynn, Jake, Josh, Grace, Sophia and Del; sisters, Debbie (Tom) Rohr; Melanie (Dennis) Schilling & Susan (Alan) Howie, and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family wishes to thank the wonderful staff at Boden Senior Living and Minnesota Hospice. With their professional and compassionate care and support, she was very well cared for, and her two children & husband were comforted throughout the time she was in their care.
