Victoria Roser Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Funeral Alternatives of Washington - Tumwater on Jan. 28, 2026.
Victoria S. Roser was born on February 22nd, 1939 to Brockwell and Rhoda Statter in Portland,

OR, where Vicki and her younger sister Cynthia Olin grew up. Vicki attended Ainsworth

Elementary School and graduated from Lincoln High School in 1957. She moved to Boulder,

CO to attend the University of Colorado where she earned a bachelor's degree in English

Literature. It was at UC Boulder that she met the love of her life, Louis Alan Roser. On April

4th, 1961 Alan and Vicki were married in Portland, OR.

Together they raised three children: Chip Roser (married to Jan), Cindi (married to Brodie

Wood), and Kathi (married to Bill Dunning). Vicki treasured each of her 14 grandchildren,

making sure each one knew how proud she was of them and how much she loved them. Vicki

also had the joy of meeting 4 of her great grandchildren.

For the past 48 years Vicki has loved attending and serving at Westwood Baptist Church. She

led or attended many woman's Bible studies, taught the 4 year olds Sunday School class,

helped with the Cubbies and Puggles through the AWANA program, was a mentor mom with

MOPS, volunteered at a women's shelter, was a faithful Summer Hummer leader for many

years, and made countless meals to those in need.

Vicki led a vibrant active life. She loved to hike, downhill ski, and dominate on the tennis court.

Vicki and Alan took many walking trips throughout Europe. She was also an avid quilter,

showering her family and many others with beautifully crafted quilts of all shapes, colors, and

designs.

Alan and Vicki participated in many short term medical missions in Mexico and Central

America. Being a perpetual learner, Vicki became a certified surgical technician in order to

serve along side her husband in developing countries.

Vicki fastidiously read and studied God's word. She loved well because she knew the love of

her Heavenly Father. She recognized not only His love, but also the saving grace and mercy of

her Savior, Jesus Christ. Vicki will be greatly missed, but we rest in God's promise that one day

we will see her and be with her again.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at Westwood Baptist Church on Saturday, February

14th at 1:30 pm.

In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to Options Pregnancy Clinic or the

Olympia Union Gospel Mission.

I really wanted to attend Vicki´s memorial/Celebration of life. But I´m still in Grand Forks, ND welcoming my newest granddaughter and helping with her two young, older brothers. I wanted to tell her family how much I looked forward to seeing Vicki in the body pump classes at the Valley. She was so proud of her kids and grandkids. She just shined as she undated me on what her grandkids were doing and accomplishing. She loved her family so much! I´m praying for you all as the grief process can be a struggle at times, even when you know she´s with Jesus and you´ll see her again.

When I think of Vicki... and Al, the word that rises to the top is faithful! So honored to have been in church with them the past 26 years.
