Victoria “Vici” Faye Biddix, age 80, of Austin, Minnesota, passed away peacefully Monday, December 11, 2023, at Mayo Clinic Hospital Rochester – Saint Marys Campus surrounded by her three daughters. She was born on February 26, 1943, in Austin, Minnesota to parents Wallace John and Manetta (Halverson) Slowinski. Vici grew up and was baptized in the Catholic Church. She attended school in Austin where her talents were not overlooked. She was able to express her creativity and use her artistic talents to create the stage sets at the high school for the theater department. In 1962, she graduated from Austin High School. Following graduation, she decided to further her education and attended school in Rochester to become a surgical technician. In 1975, Vici married Paul Biddix. She worked various jobs, but the one she enjoyed the most was being a volunteer coordinator at 2 local nursing homes. Her favorite role in life was being a homemaker. She spent the biggest portion of her life dedicated to being a wonderful wife, mother, and grandmother. She was not just a normal grandmother. The relationship she had with her grandchildren was extremely close. Her sense of humor mixed with grandma’s advice was open and hilarious. If you know Vici, you know that when you were invited over to her home you sat around the kitchen table and enjoyed laughs and great conversation for hours. Vici was very creative; she was a talented seamstress and beautiful artist from oil painting to chalk and pencil drawing. She was a planner and always had everything written down. She loved listening to music and had an extensive collection of CDs, albums, cassettes, reel to reels and even 8 tracks. There was music in her home every time you walked through the door. Vici was a very independent, strong, and determined woman; she never asked for help. She had a great sense of humor and could make anyone laugh. Even if you met Vici one time, chances are strong you will never forget her. She always said that the most important thing was to make memories, because that was one thing nobody can take from you. Vici will be dearly missed by all that knew and loved her.
Vici is survived by her best devoted friend, Chris (Scott) Bultman of Austin; three daughters, Stephanie Stark of Albert Lea, Kimberly (Randy) Feuring of Austin, and Kathleen (Kevin) Finley of Austin; son-in-law, Dale (Jenn) Stark; grandchildren, Jacob (Krista) Stark, Coy Stark, Isabel Stark, Jeremy (Jolene) Feuring, Jason Feuring, Andrew (Stephanie) Ulland, Tyler (Kate) Naatz, Blake Naatz, Felicia Finley, Kaiden Finley; honorary grandchildren, Tiffany (Ryan) Palumbo, Courtney (Jim) Hatten, Derek (Nicole) Bultman; many great-grandchildren; siblings, Marvin (Renee) Slowinski, Patricia Tallman, John (Sindy) Slowinski, Antoinette King, Cynthia Leedom and James Slowinski; many nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, Wallace and Manetta Slowinski; husband Paul Biddix; and two grandsons, Joshua Naatz, and Zachary Stark.
