Vincent Scapellato, 88 of Vineland, died Friday, February 24, 2012 at the New Jersey Veterans Memorial Home, Vineland. Born in Forest Grove, NJ, he was a Vineland resident since 1948. Vincent was a veteran of WWII serving in the United States Navy.
He was owner and operator of North West Auto in Vineland since 1963, North Delsea Drive. He also worked for Mori Bros. and Bill Shear Cadillac Dealer on East and Wood. Vincent enjoyed going to Ocean City and Stone Harbor for the summer, the casinos, hunting and fishing, stock car racing, where he was part owner of Case 300 stock car. He also enjoyed watching baseball and football and was a loving and caring grandfather and great grandfather. He was a member of the Moose Club and the V.F.W. He is predeceased by his wife, Mary (Giovanelli) Scapellato of 62 years, 3 brothers, Dominick, Joseph and Pete Scapellato, and 1 sister, Josephine Cifaloglio.
He is survived by, 1 son: Vincent Scapellato and wife Alice of Vineland
1 daughter: Carol Ebner and husband Jim of Vineland
4 grandchildren: Melissa D'Alessandro and husband Michael
James Ebner and wife Jill
Steven Ebner and wife Lori
Matthew Scapellato
4 great grandchildren: Lauren, Nathan, Madison and Tristin Ebner
1 brother: Charles Scapellato and wife Jean of Landisville
1 sister: Bertha Barbieri of Vineland
2 sister-in-laws: Clorina Scapellato of Forest Grove

A Funeral Liturgy will be held on Thursday at 10am at the Divine Mercy Parish, Vineland. Burial will follow in Our Lady of Victories Cemetery, Landisville. Friends will be received on Thursday morning from 8:30am to 9:45am at the church. Arrangements are by DeMarco-Luisi Funeral Home 2755 S. Lincoln Ave., Vineland. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to New Jersey Veterans Memorial Home 524 N.W.
