Vincent "Vince" Schell went to be with the Lord on August 19, 2025, at Midland Hospice House with Brenda by his side after a long battle with vascular dementia.
Vince was born to Casper and Petronilla (Hertlein) Schell in Topeka Kansas on July 19, 1939.
He married Linda Bennett (divorced) and to that marriage two sons Scott and Todd were born.
On April 19, 1975, he married the love of his life Brenda Laster. They had two sons Trent and Travis. They celebrated 50 years of love and marriage.
He worked for 40 years for Goodyear, retiring in 2001.
Left to cherish his memory is his wife, Brenda. Son Scott (Jill) Topeka, KS and their children Hannah of Prairie Village, KS and Tucker (Chiaki) of Overland Park, KS and their son Great-grandson Ren. Son Todd (Bev) and his daughter Zoe, Topeka, KS. Son Travis (Daren) of Topeka. Son Trent (Katie), Parkville, MO and their children Cole Vincent and Maisie. Brother Gerald "Jerry" (Ramona) Schell, Topeka.
Preceding him in death are his parents, and brothers Tom and Larry Schell.
A Celebration of Life will be held at St. Davids Episcopal Church 3916 SW 17 th St, Topeka, KS, 66604 on Saturday August 30, 2025, at 10:30am. A luncheon and visitation will be held at the church following the service.
Memorial Donations may be made to St. Davids Episcopal Church, Midland Hospice, or Alzheimer's Association.
