Violet Louise Forgette

Forgette- Violet Louise Forgette, age 100, of Starke, Florida passed away on May 26, 2024, at North Florida Regional Hospital in Gainesville, Florida. Violet was born in Jacksonville, Florida on January 19, 1924, to the late Thomas M. Pinner, Sr. and Violet Albertson Pinner. Violet was raised in Jacksonville, Florida and graduated from Landon High School in 1941. Shortly after high school, Violet married her best friend, Everett M. Stallings, and they were happily married for 50 years until his passing on June 1, 1990. Violet was a devoted wife, loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She thoroughly enjoyed being a homemaker where she was able to take care of her family and raise her 4 children. Violet took immense pride in ensuring that her home was a place of comfort and joy. Later in life, Violet married her longtime friend, Wilfred Joseph Forgette, on April 5, 2014, and they were thankful to have enjoyed 3 years of marriage before his passing on October 13, 2017. Violet was a faithful member of the First Baptist Church of Starke for many years. She loved her church and enjoyed worshipping her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ with her church family. More than anything, Violet loved her family and enjoyed spending precious time with them. She was deeply loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Violet was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Melanie Dyer; and husbands, Marvin Stallings, and Wilfred Forgette; son, Richard Stallings; brother, Thomas Pinner, Jr.; 2 granddaughters, Peggy Anderson and Dani Bowers.
Violet is survived by her children, Marvina Steadman of Starke, FL and Daniel (Ann) Stallings of Crawfordville, FL; son-in-law, Mike Dyer of Live Oak, FL; sister- in-law, Elnora Pinner of Tampa, FL; 4 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandson; along with several extended family members and friends.
A Celebration of Violet's Life will be held on Thursday, May 30, 2024, at 10:00 am at Archie Tanner Memorial Chapel with Reverend Ben Bryant officiating. A private Interment will be held at Riverside Memorial Park in Jacksonville, Florida. The family will receive friends at the Funeral Home an hour prior to the service.
