Violet Ruth McCreadie

Violet Ruth McCreadie, 86 of Midland, passed away surrounded by family on January 17, 2025 at Brittany Manor of Midland. She was born to the late George and Ruth (Sasse) Russell on April 7, 1938 in Auburn, MI. Violet married the love of her life John McCreadie on March 12, 1958 and they shared forty- three loving years together until he preceded her in death on October 24, 2001.
Violet loved going to the Moose, taking walks and dancing. She also loved to read and listen to books on tape in her later years.
Violet is survived by her sons; Jeffery (Diane) McCreadie, Greg (Dawn) McCreadie, grandchildren; John McCreadie, Elijah McCreadie, Brittany Wood, Brianna Reisinger, Brendan Reisinger and great-grandchildren; Max Pochert, Rowan Pochert.
She is preceded in death by her husband; John McCreadie and sisters; Geraldine Schallier, Catherine Markert.
A funeral service will take place at 1:00pm on January 23, 2025 at St. John's Lutheran Church with Pastor Joshua Parsons officiating. Friends may visit with the family from 12:00pm until time of service at the church. A private family graveside service will take place at Midland Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider St. John's Lutheran Church in her honor.
