Virgil D. "Bud" Morris Jr.

Virgil D. "Bud" Morris Jr., age 83, went home to be with the Lord on August 30, 2024. He was born in Canton, OH on April 30, 1941 to the late Virgil Sr. and Helen Morris. Bud graduated from Garaway High School in 1959 before serving the United States Army for four years as an auto mechanic. Even after his service Bud greatly enjoyed working on cars as well as farming. He devoted 28 years to his work with the Timken Company until his retirement in 2001.
His kind soul and caring nature showed in his work for the community. Bud not only assisted his home church, Fellowship Baptist, but also many other local churches with Bus Ministries. Bud was always there to help someone in need and known to provide donuts to those he visited. He will be dearly missed.
In addition to his parents, Virgil was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 40 years, Saundra L. Morris; sons, Virgil III, Gordon; two brothers; and a sister.
He his survived by his daughters, Karey Morris, Valerie (Jean-Paul) Villa; five grandchildren; one great granddaughter; and eight siblings.
The family would like to give a special thanks to the staff at Danbury Massillon and Elara Caring Hospice for their wonderful care and support.
The funeral services will be conducted Thursday, September 5, 2024 at 12:00 p.m. at the Reed Funeral Home Canton Chapel with Pastor Tom Williams officiating. Interment will be in North Lawn Cemetery.
