Virgil Roberts, passed away peacefully on June 18, 2025, in Dayton, Ohio. He was 87. He was born on January 31, 1938, in Stinnett, Kentucky, and lived a life marked by dedication to his family, his work, and his passion of going to Church where he was a member of the Stinnett Pentecostal Church at Stinnett, KY. and the Spaulding Road Church of God in Dayton, Ohio.

Virgil proudly retired from General Motors in Dayton, Ohio, where he spent many years contributing to the automotive industry. His work ethic and commitment were admired by colleagues and friends alike. Beyond his professional pursuits, Virgil found joy in the great outdoors, often indulging in his love for squirrel hunting and camping in the woods. He was also a frequent patron of McDonald's, where he enjoyed many meals with family and friends. A steadfast supporter of Trump, Virgil passionately engaged in discussions about his views, always eager to share his beliefs with those around him.

For 65 wonderful years, Virgil shared his life with the love of his life, Laverna Hoskins Roberts. They were married on June 11, 1960. Together, they built a family and created cherished memories that will live on in the hearts of those who knew him. He is survived by Laverna, his wife, as well as a loving family that includes one brother, Victor Roberts and his wife, Elizabeth; one sister, Bonnie Lou Lewis; and sisters-in-law Judy Stubblefield and her husband Ronnie, Betty Baker and her husband Wayne, Jewell Hoskins, Margaret Bowling, and Norma Bowling. Virgil also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives and friends who will remember him fondly.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Corbin Roberts and Mavie Morgan Roberts, and his siblings: brothers Logan, Dave, Leon, Charles, and Junior Ray; sisters Manda Jane Gross and Lucille Baker; as well as brothers-in-law James Hoskins, Vernon Bowling, Vernon Napier, James Bowling, and Carl Wagers, and sisters-in-law Zelma Wagers and Beulah Napier.

Virgil Roberts lived a life full of love, laughter, and adventure. He will be remembered for his warmth, kindness, and unwavering commitment to his family and friends. His legacy of love will forever remain in the hearts of all who knew him.

Celebration of Life Service: Wednesday, June 25, 2025 at 2:00 P.M. at the Stinnett Pentecostal Church, Stinnett, KY.

Interment; Hoskins Family Cemetery, Stinnett, KY.

Visitation: Tuesday, June 24, 2025 at 6:00-10:00 P.M. at the Stinnett Pentecostal Church
