Virginia Carson Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by McNeil's Funeral Service on Apr. 11, 2024.
Virginia Mae (Crawn) Carson, age 83, of Mustang, passed away on April 9, 2024. She was born on October 28, 1940, to William and Ida (Kimble) Crawn in Phillipsburg, NJ. She later moved to live with her grandparents in Blairstown where she was raised. At the age of 16, she met Neil Carson while he was visiting her hometown on a hunting trip. The two fell in love and they married. Following her marriage, she began working in a clothing factory where she worked for many years. In 1980, Virginia and Neil moved to OKC to be nearer their daughter. During these years, Virginia worked as a CNA in nursing homes until her retirement in 1999. Virginia and Neil moved to Mustang in 2013 and were members of the Mustang Heights Baptist Church.
Virginia loved to crochet and spent many hours working on various projects. She enjoyed collecting birdhouses. She also loved to cruise, which she and Neil did as often as they could.
Virginia is preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, Neil; her parents, grandparents, and siblings.
She is survived by her children, Jean Ptacek and husband Kevin of Yukon and Joan Nease and husband David of Gary, Texas; and by three grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
