Heaven has a new gem. Virginia Almira (Richards) Dix, 90 years old, of Burlington, NC passed away February 1, 2025. Born February 3, 1934, Virginia (Ginny), was a Godly woman who showed her love for her family, friends, and everyone around her each day.
Best known for her years of ministry with Little White Church choir and special music in Conklin, NY, on television and radio, she attended Baptist Bible Seminary, and during her life worked as a nurse’s aide, a clerk in retail stores, a home health aide, a house mother for a girl’s home, and as a prayer counselor at CBN 700 Club. She served on the board at Brockville Commons in Fremont, IN, and often could be found leading women’s Bible studies or teaching Sunday School.
She was predeceased by her husband Leland (Lee) and her parents John and Ethel (Edwards) Richards, her brother Bill, sister Ann Marie (Richards) Swan, her brothers-in-law Glenn Dix and Lynn Dix and sister-in-law Rose (Dix) Nabinger.
She was loved and cherished by her surviving family: daughter Ginny Lee Dix, her three sons, Terry (Judy) Dix, Jack (Carolyn) Dix, Keith (Leigh) Dix, foster son John Haggerty, 11 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, brothers Mack (Minni) Richards and Kipe (Brenda) Richards, sister Lillie Mumma, sister-in-law Carolyn (Don) Darrow, and many beloved nieces and nephews.
When anyone met her, they would soon agree with us who knew her: she was a sweet, loving, special woman.
