Virginia Yvonne Conway Grilz, 74, of Wilkes-Barre passed away Monday December 16, 2024, at home. She was born in Easton to the late Martin and Amelia Kratz Conway. Virginia graduated from St. Leo's High School, class of 1968 and Luzerne County Community College. She was employed by First Eastern Bank, Wilkes-Barre, Nat West Bank, Moosic, and Bank of America, Moosic prior to retirement. Virginia was a member of St. Leo the Great Parish, Ashley.
Preceded in death by brother, Michael Conway.
Survived by daughter, Hollis Weisgable and her husband Joe, Forty Fort, son Wayne Grilz Jr. and his Fiancé Shannon Lynn Sebolka, Kingston, grandchildren, Madelyn Grilz, Cody DeLeo, Gavin Weisgable, Mack Weisgable, Ella Grilz, Jase Grilz, brother, Martin Conway, Shavertown, sister-in-law, Nora Conway, Dallas, and seven nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be held on Friday, December 20, 2024, at 9:30 am from Nat Gawlas Jordan Funeral Home 89 Park Ave. Wilkes-Barre with a Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 10:00 am in St. Leo the Great Parish, 33 Manhattan St. Ashley.
A visitation for family and friends will be held from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Thursday December 19, 2024, at the funeral home.
