Virginia Inocencia Lopez, affectionately known as Ginnie, was a beacon of light and love to all who knew her. Born on June 4, 1943, in the bustling city of New York, NY, she embarked on a journey of selfless compassion and devotion that spanned 82 years, culminating in a peaceful passing on September 10, 2025, in Middletown, NY. Ginnie's life was a testament to the enduring strength of family and faith. She was the beloved daughter of the late Decro and Quintina Andújar and cherished sister to her predeceased siblings, Elisa Rios and Rebecca Olmo. She found her lifelong partner in Kenneth Lopez Sr., who preceded her in death, and together they nurtured a family that would be her pride and joy. Though her heart ached with the loss of her middle child, Noelle Denise Hunter, Ginnie's legacy continues through her adoring children, Kenneth Lopez Jr. with his wife Judith, and Kelly Selene Lopez. Her lineage blossomed with six grandchildren: Chelsea Leigh Blume with her husband Michael Moreland, Kenneth Shane Lopez with his wife Hannah Mae, Brandon Jose Crespo with his fiancée Elisse Rodriguez, Ryan Kenneth Crespo with his wife Julia Michelle, Christian Kenneth Lopez, and Raymond Zayas Jr. She was also a proud great-grandmother to Noah Reign Crespo, Alessi Wren Crespo, Camille Noelle Crespo, Lilah Jade Blume, and Levi Daniel Crespo. Ginnie's journey through life was marked by her unwavering Christian faith and her commitment to her role as a housewife, mother, and grandmother. A proud graduate of John Adams High School's Class of 1961, she embraced the simple yet profound vocations of nurturing her family and creating a warm, loving home. Her life was a canvas on which she painted love through her interests in camping, listening to golden oldies, and crafting beautiful decorative pieces for her home and family. Described by those who knew her as loving, thoughtful, and selfless, Ginnie's presence was a gentle reminder of the power of kindness and the importance of putting others before oneself. Her life was not just about the roles she filled but about the hearts she touched and the lives she enriched. Her spirit was a guiding star that led by example, showing us that the essence of life is found in the love we share and the service we render to others. As we reflect on the life of Virginia Inocencia Lopez, we are reminded of the scripture, "Well done, good and faithful servant...enter into the joy of your master." (Matthew 25:23). Ginnie's journey on this earth has ended, but her spirit soars in the eternal embrace of her Creator, where she rests in the promise of everlasting peace. Let us honor her memory by living with the same generosity of spirit that Ginnie embodied, by loving without reservation, and by making the world a brighter place with each selfless act. Her legacy is a guiding light that will continue to inspire and uplift us all. We bid farewell to our beloved Ginnie, knowing that her love will forever be etched in our hearts and her influence will ripple through generations to come.
