Mrs. Virginia Pierce Mize, 84, of Highway 17 South, Royston, GA passed away Thursday, May 30, 2024.

Mrs. Mize was born November 5, 1939 in Elberton, GA to Hubert Pierce and Mae Willie Scogin Pierce. She was a member of Holly Springs Baptist Church and attended Amazing Grace Missionary.

She is survived by her son: Pierce Mize of Royston, GA, siblings: Mildred Vaughn of Bowman, GA, Shirley Gillam of Piedmont, SC, Dell Harr of Stem, NC, Leon Pierce of Dewy Rose, GA, grandchildren: Luke Mize (Cassie), Emily Mize, Isaac Mize; great-grandchild: Wyatt Mize and numerous nieces, nephews and great-nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents she was preceded by her husband Emory Nelson Mize and daughter: Rhonda Mize Compton.

Funeral services to celebrate her life will be held 2PM, Monday, June 3 in the Memorial Chapel of Berry Funeral Home with Rev. Leon Pierce officiating. Interment will follow in Holly Springs Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 12PM to 2PM just prior to the service at Berry Funeral Home.

Flowers are optional and memorials can be made in her memory to a charity of ones choice.

Berry Funeral Home and Crematory of Elberton is in charge of the funeral arrangements for Mrs. Virginia Pierce Mize.
