Virginia M. Nolte, age 98, passed away peacefully on October 17, 2025 at Sheboygan Senior Community.
She was born on April 5, 1927 in Plymouth, WI, a daughter of the late Joseph and Mary (Prindiville) Roltgen. Virginia attended Rathburn Grade School and graduated from Plymouth High School in 1945.
On September 4, 1948, she married Wilbur "Bill" Nolte at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Plymouth. The couple resided in Plymouth all of their married life. He preceded her in death on January 27, 2018.
Virginia was a dedicated homemaker and stayed home to raise her four children. After her children were all in school, she worked full time as an executive assistant at the David Douglas Company in Plymouth. She later worked at Leys Department Store and Ben Franklin, both in Plymouth.
She was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Plymouth and for many years was active with the Christian Women and Daughters of Isabella. She was a woman of deep faith and her countless prayers were an inspiration to her entire family.
Virginia loved reading books, playing cards, BINGO, and watching sports. She attended all of her children's sporting events over the years, and loved travelling to different cities to watch the Packers. She was also a member of the "Fun Club," Bridge Club, and 500 Club.
Survivors include: Daughter: Kay (Guy) Miller of Sheboygan; Three sons: Bob (Susie) Nolte of Ft. Myers, FL, Jay (Debbie) Nolte of Elkhart Lake, and Tom (Mary) Nolte of Whitefish Bay; Eight grandchildren: Kelly (John) Moehn of Stockbridge, Josh (Kate) Miller of Sheboygan, Andrea (Aaron) Rodenkirch of West Bend, Paul (Marcy) Nolte of Cottage Grove, MN, Nick (Becky) Nolte of Cross Plaines, Ryan (Ashley) Nolte of Grafton, Dr. Mike (Liz) Nolte of Pewaukee, and Kevin (Mimi) Nolte of Elmhurst, IL; Great-grandchildren: Maggie, Abby, Gini and Charlie Moehn, Hannah, Hogan, Ryder and Emmaline Miller, Sam and Sophia Nolte, Danica and Dalton Nolte, Grace and Peter Nolte, Amelia and Alivia Rodenkirch, Liam Nolte, and Maddie Nolte.
Virginia is also survived by many other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by: Her husband; Parents; Brother: Kenneth (Marcella) Roltgen; and Brothers-in-law: Jerry (Laura) Nolte and James Nolte.
Memorial Services will be celebrated on Thursday, October 23, 2025, at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Plymouth. Visitation will take place from 10:00-11:00am, with Mass to follow at 11:00am. Father Subi Thomas will officiate and inurnment will be in the Parish cemetery.
Memorials are suggested in Virginia's name to St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Plymouth or Eastern Shores Library System.
