In Loving Memory of Virginia G. Rave
Virginia G. Rave, aged 91, of Blue Ash, Ohio, passed away on Friday, August 8, 2024. Virginia was a graduate of UC and dedicated her life to being a nurse, a volunteer, a mother, and a grandmother. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 59 years, Dr. Norman L. Rave.
Virginia was the beloved mother of six children: Norman Jr. (Ginny Folsom), Cecelia (Paul) Caldwell, Theresa (Chuck) McDonough, David (Elizabeth Hill), Richard, and Cheryl. She was also a proud grandmother to ten grandchildren. Other survivors include her brother-in-law Steven Shemo and his daughter Sandra (Patrick) Whiting, two sisters-in-law Virginia E. Rave and Connie S. Rave, and nephews Mark (Kim) and Jim.
Virginia volunteered at Hospice of Cincinnati for many years and was very active in her church parish.
Visitation will be held at 10 am, followed by a funeral Mass at 11 am on Saturday, September 7th, at St. Vincent Ferrer Catholic Church, 7754 Montgomery Rd., Cincinnati, Ohio 45236, with Father Thomas Wray presiding. Burial will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Montgomery, OH. Donations should be made to Hospice of Cincinnati https://hospiceofcincinnati.org/donate or a charity of your choice. Condolences may be made at www.strawserfuneralhome.com.
