Virginia L. Thomas

Virginia Lee Thomas, of Plainfield, also known as "Louise," passed away on November 3rd, 2024, at the age of 97. She was born December 25, 1926 to the late Albert Russell and Mary (Lambert) Boblett in Indianapolis, IN.  Virginia was a member of the Plainfield Christian Church, and she enjoyed gardening (especially her prize African Violets), taking trips with her church family, helping in the nursery, and making friends everywhere she went. She had a smile that would light up a room, and she loved her family dearly. She was the last of 13 children. She was proceeded in death by her husband of over 50 years, Marvin Thomas and son Roger Thomas. She is survived by her daughter Wanda Novak; grandchildren, Marie (Eric) Jensen, Kimberly Taylor, Ryan Thomas, and great grandchildren Anthony (Alexandra) Jensen, Timothy Jensen, Allyson Cox, Ivy (Ricardo) Miller, and Timothy Thomas, and great great grandchildren Alivia and Aidyn Jensen.  Funeral services will be at 1:00 pm on Thursday, November 14, 2024 in the Hampton-Gentry Funeral Home, Plainfield, where friends may call on Thursday, from 11:00 am until service time at 1:00 pm.  Burial will follow in Maple Hill Cemetery, Plainfield.
