Vito DiPinto Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Samsel & Carmon Funeral Home on Oct. 3, 2025.
Vito L. DiPinto, 85, of South Windsor, beloved husband of 52 years to Janis L. (Roberts) DiPinto, passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by his family on Wednesday, October 1, 2025. He was born on November 25, 1939, in New Britain, one of three children to the late Vito L. DiPinto, Sr. and Anna (DeBella) DiPinto.
Vito grew up in New Britain, attended local schools and was a graduate of New Britain High School. Following high school, Vito began a 38-year career with Sears as a hardlines sales manager before moving on to Reilly Foam Corp. in Bloomfield before his retirement. In his spare time, you could find Vito out on the golf course enjoying a round with his friends, specifically in the senior league at Topstone Golf Course in South Windsor. He also enjoyed traveling with his wife, stopping at various consignment shops along the way. Vito was a very personable and outgoing man, which made building relationships easy to him. Most of all, his family was of the most importance to him. He cherished every moment he was able to spend with them and was always there to lend a helping hand or an ear when needed. Although our time with Vito has come to an end, his smile, personality, and demeanor will be held closely in the hearts of all who knew him.
In addition to his wife, Janis, Vito is survived by his children, Mark DiPinto and his wife Barbara of Burlington, Thomas DiPinto of Burlington, Dennis DiPinto and his wife Alison of Brookfield, Jennifer DiPinto of Windsor, Sandra Minguy and her husband Brian of South Windsor, and daughter-in-law Sarah DiPinto of Trumbull; his grandchildren Brady, Michelle, Rebecca, Marie, Maggie, Connor, Zoe, Gaby, Nathan, Amanda and a special relationship with his granddaughters Toni and Carlie. He also had two great-grandchildren; as well as a host of nieces, nephews and their families. Vito was predeceased by his parents; his daughter, Donna DiPinto; his brother, Francis DiPinto; and his sister, Marie Tirinzoni.
Calling hours will be held on Friday, October 10, 2025, from 4-7 p.m. at the Samsel & Carmon Funeral Home, 419 Buckland Rd., South Windsor. A Mass of Chrisitan Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, October 11, beginning at 11 a.m. at St. Junipero Serra Parish – St. Francis of Assisi Church, 673 Ellington Rd., South Windsor. All guests are asked to please go directly to the church. At the request of his family, burial will be held privately. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude’s Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or to The Shriner's Children's Hospital, attn: Processing Center, P.O. Janis, it has been awhile but we think of Vito so fondly. All those memories playing golf and bunco, hearing him say "ring the bell", brings tears to my eyes. We know how much you will miss him.
