Vivian Carol Billings, 84, passed away on January 30, 2025, at Bermuda Village. Carol was born on March 24, 1940, to Suma Mae Webster Pegram and Robert Clarence Pegram in Wilkes County. She was saved on February 5, 1968. In 1983, she joined Union Grove Baptist Church and attended faithfully for as long as her health permitted. She retired from AT&T. Carol enjoyed growing roses, cooking, sewing, paint, crochet & making porcelain dolls. And she did all this while being the best mother anyone could ever have. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by brothers, Effner Pegram and John Pegram. Surviving are her loving husband of 64 years, Gene Billings; children, Paul Billings, Phyllis Rogers (Wesley), and Patricia Sierra (Gary); five grandchildren; five great grandchildren; brother, Robert Pegram; sister, Brenda Champion; and extended family and many friends. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM, Monday, February 3, 2025, at Union Grove Baptist Church with Rev. T.W. Bailey and Rev. David Beverly officiating. Interment will follow at Westlawn Gardens of Memory. The family will receive friends from 10:00-11:00 AM, prior to the service at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Alzheimer’s Assn., 225 N. Michigan Ave., Fl. 17, Chicago, IL 60601. Online condolences may be made at www.hayworth-miller.com
