Vivian Yen Tran-Wong, age 49, of Minneapolis, Minnesota, passed away from cancer on July 5, 2025. She left this world peacefully surrounded by loving family and friends.
Vivian will be remembered for her radiant energy and unwavering dedication to those she loved. She devoted herself to being a loving wife and caring mother, as well as being the fun aunt to her nieces and nephews. She was a dutiful daughter and sister who centered herself around her family. She enjoyed cooking, practicing yoga, and reading romantic novels in her spare time from her work as an optician. She was a compassionate and attentive friend who could brighten any room with her smile.
She was preceded in death by her father, and her older sister. She is survived by her husband of 29 years Murphy Wong, daughter Anita Wong, son Leon Wong, and her loyal dog Obito. She is also survived by her mother, two older sisters, two older brothers, one younger sister, many nieces and nephews, and one grand-niece.

She will be truly missed by all those who knew her but will live on forever in their hearts.
In lieu of flowers, Vivian and her family request that monetary donations be made in her honor to Ch'a Ph t Ân and a scholarship fund. A box will be available at her service for any donations.
For friends and family out of state who are unable to attend her service, monetary donations may be made in her honor to the Masonic Cancer Center Fund, University of Minnesota.
The service will be live streamed for those who cannot join in person from 11am to 4pm CST. The webcast will be accessible five minutes prior to the service time. To view, select the "tribute wall" tab and click on the video feed.
