I regret that I did not learn of Francis passing until this morning. I have been gone and learned of it when I reviewed the newspapers when I returned. I had known Francis Marshall for over 25 yr. as a District Materials Engineer and as an Area Engineer and, more importantly as a friend. After his retirement from DOT we worked togather at Reeves until my retirement. Both professionally and personally he was a truly quality character. The world generally and me particularly are better for having known him. My deepest sympathies to his family. I shall miss him too.

We regret we were away from the city when Francis went home to be with the Lord. We would like to have had the opportunity to share with members of the family some of the great memories we have of his life - especially when he was a student at PHS. May God bless each of the family in a very special way at this time.

Maxine and family, I am so sorry to hear about Francis.I have the greatest memories when I was a little girl, and we all met at Grandma and Grandpa Harper's every Sunday afternoon when church was over. Francis and Richard Waddell taught all the cousins to play baseball, run through Granpa's peach orchard and watch the plane's fly low. We were like "Little House on the Praire". I remember Francis with nice smile and very quiet loving Grandma's fresh buttermilk. I will always cherish the memories. Love Yall, Connie

There are few times in a man's life where he has the opportunity to meet an individual whose presence obligates him to sit and listen...to hear the kind of advice that only a man of experience can give that can truly impact your life in a positive way. Mr. Marshall was such a man. My regret is I did not spend enough time with him, but I'll always have our memories.
