Satchell Myers
August 8, 2024
I´m so sorry for your loss, Mrs Campbell (Gina). I am so very sad to hear this. My name is Satchell Myers. I served with Wade (we called him "Cam") on his very first duty station which was at Fort Hood, Texas. He was my BEST friend. We were always together. We had so much fun and became men together in the military. This guy LOVED to dance. How many times I´d hear him say "MYERS, ITS TIME FOR THE PERCULATOR!" and then he´d just start crazy dance that would crack me up. He was the kind of guy to be the life of the party without even trying. Very outgoing, but yet quiet and serious and even reserved at times. Loved the guy. Really just GENUINE and I don´t have many I can call TRUE friends, but he was definitely my FRIEND. I regret not staying in touch with him, but when Facebook came about, I´d look for him constantly. Finally got in contact with him a year before he passed and was very happy to hear of his accomplishments. I prayed for his safety throughout the years and even followed his promotions etc. I even talked to my parents about him still over the years. This truly hurts. He was truly a special guy and I just cannot believe this has happened. Again, so very sorry for your loss and I hope you and your family are doing well. I know I´m just a random guy, but he was such family to me that I will say this: If you guys ever need anything, please don´t hesitate to reach out. I´ll put my email here just in case or if maybe you wouldn´t mind reaching out to talk about his life or hearing about some memories we had. Take care and I hope it´s not inappropriate.

Wade was an amazing teammate, always had your back. He wasn´t the most talkative guy but had the respect of everyone in our Locker room. However, If you got this guy talking he was an absolute cut up, such a great sense of humor. I was lucky enough to see it many times. What´s more important than all of that, Wade was a man of god. He always led the team prayer before games. Not surprised he went on to accomplish the things he did in life. I will miss you dearly Wade, and I hope to see you again someday.
