Waldo G. Bergemann, age 82, of Madison Lake, died on March 25, 2024 at Oaklawn Rehabilitation Center.
A Celebration of Life/Open House will be held on Sunday, April 14, 2024 from 11:00-2:00 p.m. at the Morson Ario. Private family burial will be at Pilgrims Rest Cemetery. Mankato Mortuary assisted the family with arrangements.
Waldo was born on June 26, 1941 in Vernon Center to William and Nora (Wester) Bergemann. He graduated from Garden City High School and Purdue University. On August 26, 1967, Waldo was united in marriage to Nadene Lehnert at Immanuel Lutheran Church. They lived on a farm in Madison Lake since 1975. Waldo was a steam fitter for Mankato Plumbing and Heating and was a union member for over 50 years. Waldo enjoyed welding, tinkering and putzing, he was very mechanically inclined. Waldo and Nadene loved ballroom dancing. He was a faithful member of Immanuel Lutheran Church and served on the church council.
Waldo is survived by his wife, Nadene and daughter, Becky Shonbom (Jeremiah Bowers). He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Brian; and two sisters, Mildred Urban and Alice Schwardt.
