Walter Gaither Farr of Tullahoma passed away on Saturday, June 7th, 2025 at Alive Hospice in Murfreesboro at the age of 64. Walt was born in Lineville, AL to the late Walter Farr, Jr. and Jewell Dean Gaither Farr. During his life, he worked in sales for many different companies, most recently with his family at Master of Ceremonies, and was a member of Kings Cross Church. Walt was a gourmet cook, and enjoyed sharing this gift by cooking for his family and friends. He was an avid Alabama fan, who enjoyed all SEC football, Jimmy Buffett, and the ocean. He cherished time spent boating with his family and friends, and was a history buff who could answer any trivia question thrown his way. Walt will be lovingly remembered for his quick-wit and sarcasm. Walt is survived by his wife, Myra Herston Farr; sons, Cody Farr (Lianna), and Marco Moyers; five grandchildren, Elliott Moyers, John Moyers, Jewell Dean Farr, Lizzie Mae Farr, and Sophia Moore; one brother, Mark Farr; two brothers-in-law, Mike Herston (Diane), and Richard Herston (Diane); and many nieces and nephews. A private graveside service will be officiated by Jesse Haywood, with Bob Hayes, John McCord, Max Christopher, Michael Hamm, Ethan Hamm, Jackson Hamm, Joe Barstad, and Randy Waller serving as pallbearers. A celebration of Walt's life will take place at Lakewood Golf and Country Club on Wednesday, June 11th from 2:00-6:00pm. For those who wish, the family asks that donations in Walt's memory be made to the Multi-County Cancer Support Network – P.O. Box 1355 Tullahoma, TN 37388.
