Walter "Terry" Arfons

Walter "Terry" Arfons, age 80, of Uniontown, passed away on Friday November 18, 2022. Born in Akron on September 28, 1942 to the late Walter Charles and Gertrude (Becker) Arfons, he graduated from Springfield High School and served in the United States Air Force. Terry was a Tire Designer for Goodyear in the racing division for 16 years then moved to Florida in 1978. He owned and operated tire stores and car repair shops both in Florida and in Ohio. He was a member of Nativity of the Lord Jesus Catholic Church.
He is survived by his wife Kathleen; children David "Eric" (Lisa) Arfons, Lisa (Wilmer) Caraballo, Brett Arfons; grandchildren Jenna (Grant) Snipes, Jacob (Micah) Arfons, Julia Arfons (Jack) Davies, Jordan (Danielle) Caraballo, Jessica (Bryan) Kuhn, Jaeden Caraballo and Jonah Arfons; great-grandchildren Scarlett and Gattis Snipes, Lorenzo, Luca and Natalia Caraballo, Charlotte and Celeste Kuhn, and 2 on the way; sister Patricia (Richard) Stiff; sister-in-law Rita Smyers; and other relatives and friends. Preceded in death by his brother Jon "Craig" Arfons.
Calling hours are Monday November 21st, 4-7 PM at Arnold Funeral Home, 504 W. Maple St., Hartville. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Tuesday November 22nd, 10 AM at Nativity of the Lord Jesus Catholic Church, 2425 Myersville Rd., Akron with Fr. Zachary Kawalec celebrant. Final resting place is East Liberty Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
