BYRNE, WALTER PATRICK of Leonia, New Jersey, passed away on March 21, 2024. Walter was born in Englewood on June 10, 1964 to Anne Lise (nee Brondelsbo) and Robert Patrick Byrne. He was a graduate of Leonia High School, New York University, and Columbia University. Walter worked for over twenty five years as a trainer, lifeguard, and fitness director at the Glenpointe Spa in Teaneck, New Jersey. He is predeceased by his mother, father, and brother Shawn Byrne. Walter is survived by his eldest brother Robert, brother-in-law Kevin Morrissey, and many loving friends and family who will miss him dearly. A celebration of Walter's life will be scheduled for later this year. The family wishes to thank the doctors, nurses and staff of Complete Care at Prospect Heights for their excellent care, friendship, and support during Walter's convalescence. Friends and family are invited to visit this Monday, March 25th, from 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM at Volk Leber Funeral Home, 789 Teaneck Road, Teaneck, NJ. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, March 26th, at 11 AM at Volk Leber Funeral Home. Private cremation. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation in Walter's name to Camp Sunshine, 35 Acadia Road, Casco, ME 04015 or at https://www.campsunshine.org/giving/donate-today
