Walter married twice in his life. He was first happily married to Joyce (Miller) Griffith until her passing in 1989. In 2006, he married Barbara (Kearney) Griffith, and they shared many happy years together until her passing in 2012. He had a deep love of World War II books and movies, television shows such as Dexter and Downton Abbey, and the joy of taking long country drives in his convertible. Walter was predeceased by his cousin Al Miles and wife Karen survives. Walter is survived by his son, Christopher Walter Griffith of Walnutport; his cousin David Miles of Moore Township; and his extended family, including stepchildren Timothy Kearney and his wife Michelle of Center Valley, Barbara (Kearney) Ziegler and her husband Ronald of Barto, and Jennifer (Kearney) Horn and her husband Thomas of Emmaus.
