Walter S. Peckinpaugh, Jr. of Moreland Hills, Ohio and Bonita Springs, Florida passed away tragically on March 21, 2025 along with his wife Marilyn (nee Bowden). Walter and Marilyn loved jazz music and travelling annually to Mackinac Island, Michigan for their jazz festival. They also loved to travel, and especially enjoyed cruising and visiting the Keys. Walt was very active in the National Senior Men’s Tennis Association. He was a 1965 graduate of Hiram College and an active alumnus. Walt and Marilyn were both very active in the Moreland Hills, Ohio and Bonita Springs, Florida communities and will be missed by their many friends there and around the globe.
Walter is survived by his sons, Thomas J. Peckinpaugh (Tequilla) of Spring Hill, Florida and Daniel A. Peckinpaugh (Hallie) of Tavares, Florida; grandchildren, Aurora, Madison, Kailee, Conner, and Evie; sister Sarah Hoemann (Warren) of Hamilton, Montana; and brother Steve Peckinpaugh (Catherine) of Stevensville, Montana. He was preceded in death by his wife, Marilyn; parents, Annabelle and Walter S. Peckinpaugh, Sr. of Cleveland Heights, Ohio and Hamilton, Montana.
There will be a memorial gathering and time of remembrance on Tuesday, April 1, 2025 from 6:00 - 8:00 pm at Maher-Melbourne Funeral Home, 5236 Mayfield Rd., Lyndhurst, Ohio.
