Walter P. Ratermann passed away Wednesday, September 13, 2023, at the age of 94. Walter was preceded in death by his parents Joseph and Elizabeth Ratermann, brothers, Bob and Bud Ratermann. He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Nancy Ratermann (nee Yazell) and daughters, Patricia “Lynn” (David) Lambert, Kim (Jeff) Schmidt and Paula Ratermann. He is also survived by 5 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. “Walt” was known for being good natured, easy going, kind, and gentle. He was admired and loved by all, especially the staff and other residents at Celebration Villa of Summit Hills, where he and Nancy have resided since January of this year. He enjoyed watching sports and was well known for his sweet tooth. Visitation will be Monday, September 18th at St. Patrick Church, 3285 Mills Rd., Taylor Mill, KY 41015 from 12:00 to 1:00 pm. Mass of Christian Burial at 1:00 pm. Interment at Mother of God Cemetary. Sympathy may be expressed by a memorial contribution to St. Elizabeth Hospice.
