Goodwin-Sievers Family Funeral Home - VincennesWalter "Frank" Snider, a spirited individual who embraced life with simplicity and joy, passed away on July 23, 2025, at the age of 68. Born on October 31, 1956, son of Harold and Myrtle (Adams) Snider in Fairfax County, Virginia, Frank was a beloved son, friend, and dedicated truck driver who found delight in the open road.
A proud military veteran, Frank generously served in the Army, embodying the spirit of service and commitment. After his military tenure, he found his true passion as a truck driver, a profession he cherished and embraced with every mile. The hum of the engine and the freedom of the highway fueled his love for life.
Frank had a penchant for the little things that made him smile - whether it was enjoying a refreshing Dr Pepper, diving into a game of solitaire on his phone during breaks, unwinding in front of the TV, and talking with his grandkids. He also had a particular fondness for hot rod cars, each one a testament to the beauty of American engineering that he so admired.
Frank is survived by his children, April Evans and Melissa Morris (Adam); grandchildren, Alexis Lynn Evans, Kaityln Ann Evans, Aster Atlas Wiseman; brother, Edward Snider (Molly); along with several nieces and nephews. Walter is preceded in death by his wife, Yvonne Snider; parents, Harold and Myrtle Snider; siblings, Sondra Fields, Duehl Snider, Linda Karen Tislow.
A graveside service will be held Wednesday, July 30, 2025 at 11:00 at Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends and Family are welcome to attend. Goodwin-Sievers Funeral Home is honored to be entrusted with the care of Frank.
