Wanda Ann Griffin, a cherished wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away on May 4, 2024, in Fair Oaks, California. Born in Granton, Wisconsin, to Louis Perkovich and Ann Paun/Perkovich, Wanda dedicated her life to caring for others as a registered nurse for over 40 years. She had a profound impact on countless patients and their families through her compassion and selflessness.
Wanda's love for travel took her to Thailand twice, Croatia once, and multiple trips to Hawaii. She also cherished annual pilgrimages for over four decades to both the South Shore and North Shore of Lake Tahoe.
In addition to her professional achievements, Wanda generously volunteered her time with the Odd Fellows Association and the Croatian Cultural Center. She was also a devoted parishioner of St. Mel's Parish in Fair Oaks for over 45 years.
Wanda is now reunited with her husband, James Edward Griffin, and is survived by her loving son Andre Francis Griffin, grandsons Mason James Griffin, and Marcus Louis Griffin, great-grandson Gabriel Michael Peterson-Griffin, great-granddaughters Lexi Ann Griffin and Amelia Jean Griffin, along with numerous other family members who will miss her dearly.
A funeral service was held on Friday, June 14, at 10:00 AM at St. Mel's Catholic Parish at 4745 Pennsylvania Ave, Fair Oaks, CA 95628, followed by a No-Host Luncheon Reception at Carmelita's Mexican Restaurant, 4071 Howard Street, Fair Oaks, CA 95628.
In lieu of flowers, please feel free to place a donation in Wanda's name to one of her favorite non-profits: St. Mel Parish at 4745 Pennsylvania Ave Fair Oaks CA 95628 or Croatian American Cultural Center at P.O. Box 214711 Sacramento CA 95821.
Wanda's legacy of kindness, generosity, and unwavering faith will continue to live on through the many lives she touched. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
