Born on August 11, 1942, in Colquitt County, Georgia, she was the daughter of the late Oran Lemuel Roberts and Marie Baker Roberts. Wanda broke barriers and inspired countless others through her leadership and determination. Above all else, Wanda deeply cherished her family. She was their cornerstone—always offering love, wisdom, and steady guidance. Her favorite way to unwind was mullet fishing at St. Marks, Florida, a treasured pastime that brought her peace and happiness throughout the years. She was also a devoted member of Cool Springs Free Will Baptist Church, where her faith and fellowship were central to her life. Her warm spirit, strong convictions, and unwavering love for those around her left a lasting impact on her church and community.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Benny Hamilton; son, Kirk Hamilton; sister, Jane Weeks; and brothers, Kenny Roberts, and Joe Wendell Roberts.
She is survived by her husband, Ed Tyler of Norman Park; son, Kent Hamilton and wife Pam of Norman Park; grandchildren, Courtney Hamilton Griffin and husband Luke, Austin Hamilton and wife Ashley, Kaylee Hamilton West and husband Justin, and Presley Hamilton and fiancée Abby Reasor; great-grandchildren, Lila Hamilton, Elsie Hamilton, Anabelle Hamilton, Alton Hamilton, Liberty West, Leif West, Gunnar West, and Hamilton Griffin; brother, Byron Roberts and wife Priscilla of Statesboro; sister, Valda Mathis and husband Steve of Norman Park; and sisters-in-law, Pat Roberts and Carolyn Roberts.
