Wanda Lee Imes

Wanda Lee Imes, 80, of Mt. Savage, went to be with The Lord on Sunday, December 17, 2023 at Peace Healthcare at Mountain City Center.
Born July 26, 1943 in Cumberland, she was the daughter of the late Howard Crosten and Bearl (Dye) Crosten.
She was also preceded in death by her husband, John D. Imes.
Wanda will be remembered as an avid gardener, spending her summers in flower and vegetable gardens, her fall season baking and canning, and her winters filled with countless hours at quilting frames and crafting projects. Still, she found time and compassion for others in need, often donating to Hugs and Snugs and sewing blankets for shelter animals. Wanda will be missed by those of us who knew and loved her.
Survivors include her children, Karen Crisp and husband Donald, Beaver Dam, VA, Kim Lantz and husband Timothy, Hyndman, PA, Pam Yantz and husband Frank, Mt. Savage, Sherry Day and husband Richard, Jr., Cumberland, Cynthia Imes, Cumberland, and Wendy Kline and husband David, Mt. Savage; grandchildren, Kara Mundie and husband Stephen, Amanda Romero, Josh Lantz and wife Brianna, Ashil Myers and husband Shawn, Franklin Yantz, III and wife Shaleena, Doug and David Riggleman, Samantha Robey and friend Harry Miller, and Megan, Nathan, and Jesseca Kline; and great-grandchildren, Taylor Mundie, Scarlett Romero, Baiya and Jakob Myers, Max, Ben, and Bo Lohr, Luke Arkens, Ali, Carson, Paxton, Maddox, and Slaton Yantz, Jasmine and Noah Riggleman, and Kaison and Lilly Miller. She is also survived by her siblings, Freda Gilroy, Hagerstown, Howard "Buddy" Crosten, LaVale, Edith Diehl, Myersville, and Sylvia Garland, LaVale.
Friends will be received at the Upchurch Funeral Home, P.A., Cumberland, on Friday, December 22, 2023 from noon-1:00 PM.
A funeral service will follow at 1:00 PM, with Pastor Jim Glass, officiating.
Interment will be in Restlawn Memorial Gardens.
