Wanda Mae Muterspaugh, 65, of Bridgewater, passed at her home on Friday, July 4, 2025.
She was born May 11, 1960, in Harrisonburg, VA, and was the daughter of the late Earl and Ivy Arlene Dove Mitchell.
Wanda was a homemaker and loved caring for her family, acting as the primary caregiver to her and her husband's parents, children and grandchildren. She was a member of Mt. Horeb UMC in Hinton, where she led youth ministries. Wanda was known for her homemade peanut butter fudge and mac and cheese. She enjoyed flowers, gardening, and spending time in the pool with her grandchildren.
Wanda is survived by her husband, Troy Muterspaugh; two daughters, Misty Drumheller and husband, David, and Missy Muterspaugh; three brothers, Larry Mitchell and wife, Brenda, Keith Mitchell and wife, Frances, Dennis Mitchell and girlfriend, Chris Besendorfer; one sister, Linda Cline and husband, Gary; two grandchildren, KayLeigh Drumheller and Liam Drumheller; one sister-in-law, Phyllis Mitchell of Mt. Crawford. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by one brother, Earl Leo Mitchell, Jr.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. on Thursday, July 10, 2025, at Kyger Funeral Home, Harrisonburg. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, July 11, 2025, at Mt. Horeb UMC in Hinton, with Pastor Steve McMillion officiating. Burial will follow the service at Mt. Horeb UMC cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Mt. Horeb UMC, 422 Hinton Rd, Dayton, VA 22821.
