Wanda Jean “Sally” Sander, 77, formerly of Knightstown, passed away Monday, August 4, 2025 at Glen Oaks Health Campus. She was born January 12, 1948 in Indianapolis, the daughter of Omar and Margaret Gorman.
Sally retired from IPT Corporation after 20 years of service. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren; taking the kids to Chuck E. Cheese and That Fun Place in Greenfield. She often made pizzas with the kids. Sally also enjoyed playing BINGO, visiting the casino and taking girl trips.
She is survived by her son, David (Jenni) Sander of Knightstown; three grandchildren, Emily Pence of Knightstown, Allison Sander of Colorado Springs and Benjamin Sander of Knightstown; two great grandchildren, Hayden and Waylon Pence; brother, Buster Gorman of New Castle; several cousins and extended family members.
Private services will be held at the convenience of the family. Burial will be in Glen Cove Cemetery. Arrangements have been entrusted to Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service, Knightstown Chapel. Condolences and memories of Sally may be shared at www.hinsey-brown.com.
