Wanda A. Stanbro

Wanda A. Stanbro, 88, of North East, PA, went to her heavenly home on Wednesday, August 27, 2025, surrounded by the love and prayers of her family.
She was born September 6, 1936, in Corry, PA, a daughter of the late Eric and Edith (Crawford) Buell.
Wanda was raised and educated in Corry and attended Corry Area Schools. She married the love of her life, Sherman L. Stanbro Sr. on February 8, 1957, in Clymer, NY. Wanda then stayed home to raise and care for her family. After her family grew older, she worked at Ritz Candy in Corry. Wanda made candy there for over 20 years and retired in the early 2000's.
She attended Faith Evangelical Church. She enjoyed painting and reading. Wanda was soft-spoken, had a big sweet tooth, loved and cherished her family and friends. She was a woman of deep faith and was a prayer warrior. She will be missed.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Sherman L. Stanbro Sr. In 2008; two sons, Shawn Lee Stanbro in infancy and Sherman L. Stanbro Jr. in 2019; three sisters, Georgia Ross, Sandy Fahey and Roberta Lewis; brother, David Buell.
Wanda is survived by daughters, Sharon (Jim) Proctor and Susan (Lee) Culver; son, Stuart (Kristy) Stanbro; daughter- in-law, Marsha Stanbro; eight grandchildren; Shawn (Sara), Julie (Adam), Erica (Jesse), Andrea (Brian), Kylee (Rob), Ryan, Sam and Josh and 13 great-grandchildren, Kendra, Shane, Caleb, Chance, Cole, Haeleigh, Isaiah, Laikynn, Elijah, Ainsley, Macy, Doc and Liam.
She is also survived by three sisters, Midge Eller, Eydie (Dean) Elder and Ruthe (Cliff) Sweet; brother, Eric (Sandy) Buell.
2 Timothy 4:7, I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race. I have kept the faith.
Family and friends are invited to call at Faith Evangelical Church, 13444 W Washington St, Corry, PA 16407 on Tuesday, September 2nd from 11 am until the time of the funeral service there at 12 noon.
Burial will be held privately by the family.
