Wanda Kay Svadlenak Tantillo passed away peacefully on Tuesday, June 3, 2025 at the age of 80. Wanda was born on March 26, 1945, in a bungalow house near Holland, Bell County, Texas, to Ernest Josef Svadlenak and Bertha Balusek Svadlenak.

As a young girl growing up on a farm, there were always chores to be done. She completed her chores willingly and developed a love for animals at an early age-one she never lost in any of her life's ventures. She graduated from Holland High School, where she was involved in many school activities. She subsequently attended cosmetology school and obtained her state license.

In 1964, she married Lenard O. Steglich, and they moved to Houston. To this union, a son was born, Stacy Len Steglich, and she became a loving mother. At the same time, she became a manager in the geophysical industry, where she supervised over 200 people.

In 1995, she married Donnie Tantillo, a wonderful man and an endearing husband-something she said until the very end. Together they enjoyed traveling to state parks & to their cabin on the lake with their poodle Buddy by their side. Always on the lookout for wildlife like grazing deer, wood ducks & the huge catfish they raised. This marriage brought two wonderful stepdaughters, Shannon and Tiffany. Tiffany later married Richard, a great son-in-law. Shannon blessed them with two precious grandsons, Grayson and Gabriel, who brought great joy to Wanda's life.

She is survived by her husband of 30 years, Donnie Tantillo; her son, Stacy Steglich; her stepdaughters, Shannon Tantillo and Tiffany and Richard Sparks; and her grandsons, Grayson and Gabriel Youngblood. She is also survived by her two brothers, Ernest R. Svadlenak and his wife, Barbara, and Donald A. Svadlenak; numerous nephews, nieces, cousins, and a multitude of friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ernest and Bertha Svadlenak.

A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, June 11, 2025 at 12:00 p.m. in the Miller Funeral Chapel, 7723 Beechnut, Houston, TX 77074. Wanda will be laid to rest on Thursday, June 12, 2025 at 1:00 p.m. at Magnolia Cemetery in Beaumont, TX.
