Ward John Scoran

Ward John Scoran, age 62, of Fairfield, CT, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, August 15, 2025. Born in Bridgeport, CT. to John and Sara Scoran, he was the eldest of twelve siblings, a proud father and devoted grandfather. Ward was a graduate of Joel Barlow High School and Bullard-Havens Technical School. He went on to become a steelworker at Chapin & Bangs Steel, where he later served proudly on the union.

Ward had a love for NASCAR, peaceful moments spent at St. Mary's by the Sea, and, most of all, time shared with his beloved family. He lived life on his own terms and had an extraordinary ability to light up every room with his quick wit, humor, and unmistakable presence. Ward always showed up when it mattered the most.

Ward is survived by his beloved mother, Sara Scoran; his daughters, Colleen, Elizabeth, and Emily Scoran; his grandchildren, Christian and Bridget Babin, Aaron, Madeline, and Nicola, who brought him immense joy and love. He is survived by his brothers, Jack, Paul, James, Jason, Jonathan, and Norman, and his sisters, Sarena, Michalene, Julie , Annie and Lauri. Ward is also survived by cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Ward was predeceased by his father John Scoran and daughter, Rebecca Scoran whose memory he carried with him always.

Ward's presence will be deeply missed, his humor, and unwavering devotion to family will live on forever in the hearts of those he left behind.

A Celebration of Life will be held on September 27, 2025 to honor Ward's memory. Details will be shared with those who wish to attend.
