Warren Victor "Rennie" Brittingham, a beloved Delmar local and fierce supporter of his community, passed away peacefully on Monday, June 30, 2025, at the age of 74. Born on March 29, 1951, in Salisbury, MD, Rennie was the third of seven children born to the late Wallace W. and Mabel Anna (Bradley) Brittingham.
A proud graduate of Delmar High School's class of 1969, Rennie dedicated his working years to the construction industry, specifically as an ironworker and carpenter with Cold Iron and G. Holland Twilley & Son. Throughout his career, he played a vital role in transforming Ocean City into the popular vacation destination it is today, contributing to many of the iconic buildings that define the shoreline.
Rennie was a genuine Delmar boy at heart, and nothing made him prouder than cheering on the Delmar Wildcats, especially the football team. The little town too big for one state meant everything to him. His passion for local sports extended beyond just fandom; he dedicated several years to coaching girls' softball teams in the Delmar Little League, where he inspired young athletes to pursue their dreams.
Rennie is survived by his sister, Gennelle Byrd and husband, Parks; brothers, Mike Brittingham and wife Sandy, Stuart Brittingham and wife Laura, Shawn Brittingham and wife Rosie and Gordon Brittingham and wife, Cynthia; nieces, Carrie, Stacy, Katie Rose, Jayme, Katie, Taylor, Joan, and Kendall; nephews, Joe and David; many great nieces and nephews; and a multitude of friends and loved ones who will remember him fondly.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother, Jeff Brittingham.
A celebration of Rennie's life will be held on Thursday, July 10, 2025, at 6:00 p.m. at Short Funeral Home in Delmar, where friends and family will gather for a visitation from 5:00 to 6:00.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Rennie's memory to Harvest Ministries, 305 N. Bi-State Boulevard, Delmar, DE 19940.
Arrangements are in the care of Short Funeral Home in Delmar. Online condolences may be sent to the family by visiting www.shortfh.com.

Mr. Brittingham it was definitely not a dull moment transporting you to your appointments. You gave me a chuckle when we went passed the Laurel water tower with your not so positive hand gesture but I´m glad you are not in anymore pain.
